Who are you? Who indeed?

For my purposes here, I will remain without name, marital status, location, or district. And, for the most part, I will do my best to remain without gender.

I will tell you that I am a mid-career public high school administrator. In my educational life, I have been an English Teacher, Department Chair, Accreditation Coordinator, Professional Developer, Assistant Principal, and Principal.

I have a long-time life partner, a college-age child, at least one fuzzy pet.

Educationally, I have a BA, an MA, a single-subject credential, and an administrative credential. I have attended junior college, state college, and private university.

I love a good joke, I adore most of the students I work with, I have favorite former students, and there are staff members in my charge who I would like to fire from this earth – but I’d happily share a beer with the vast majority of them.
